DESCRIPTION:Canceled. :( THE US SKYRUNNER SERIES COMES BACK TO CALIFORNIA\n\nThe Broken Arrow Skyrace\, presented by Salomon\, is California's official Skyrunning event. The three-day event consists of five iconic distances showcasing the beauty of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra and a unique style of mountain running characterized by off-trail scrambling on steep terrain with massive amounts of vertical gain and loss at altitude. Elite and recreational participants will experience an unforgettable trail running experience "where the mountains meet the sky" and then celebrate together with first-class food\, craft beer\, music\, films\, and fun activities for the whole family.\n\nEvent Details\n\n\n	The races will start in The Village at Squaw Valley and wind through the mountainous terrain surrounding the area\n	Participants can register for one of 5 iconic distances\n	Broken Arrow Skyrace is a 2020 UTMB Qualifying Race. The 52k is worth 3 points and the 26k is worth 2 points. Points are applicable for all UTMB races (UTMB\, CCC\, TDS\, OCC\, PTL)\n\n\nThe Broken Arrow Skyrace will have 5 distances:\n\n\n	"VK" or vertical kilometer distance is a short\, steep\, and physically demanding sprint. Runners will ascend over 3\,100 feet in 3.1 miles\, finishing at the summit of Squaw Peak.\n	11k distance with over 2\,000' elevation gain. This race follows a loop course and starts and finishes at the base of Squaw Valley.\n	26k distance with over 5\,200' elevation gain. This race follows a loop course and starts and finishes at the base of Squaw Valley.\n	52k distance with over 10\,500' elevation gain. This race follows a loop course and starts and finishes at the base of Squaw Valley.\n	Kids Race with just under 500' elevation gain in just under a kilometer.
