DESCRIPTION:Good Morning Truckee welcomes two very interesting and different topics for the June 13th gathering.\n\n\n\nWe will hear from Jeff Brown\, Reserve Manager at Sagehen Creek Field Research Station\, about some of the fascinating work done at this research and teaching facility of the University of California.\n\n\n\nThe Field Station\, located off of Hwy 89 12 miles north of Truckee\, has a collection of more than 60 years' worth of scientific data that is used in diverse fields of study such as climate change\, hydrology\, and forest ecology. A special addition to this segment will include some TTUSD fifth-grade students talking about their annual field trip to Sagehen offering unique\, hands-on learning experiences in an outdoor classroom.\n\n\n\nThe second speaker will be the always entertaining David C. Antonucci\, author and professional speaker\, sharing "Fibs\, Fakes & Falsehoods   Mistaken Tahoe." Dave will cover some of the most popular "alternative facts" about Tahoe that are not true\, e.g.\, cause of the blue colored water\, meaning of Tahoe name\, fate of drowning victims\, total shoreline length\, secret outlet to Virginia City mines\, Tahoe Tessie\, and the Jacques Cousteau submarine dive.\n\n\n\nGood Morning Truckee is a community forum to provide timely and relevant information on a variety of topics and create a networking opportunity.\n\n\n\nGood Morning Truckee offers ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION at Truckee.com. Breeze through the check-in line to get breakfast and a seat faster. You can also purchase multi-packs of tickets for your convenience   which can also get you checked-in quicker. \n\n \n\nGood Morning Truckee is open to the public   everyone is invited. It is held the second Tuesday of every month at Truckee Tahoe Airport from 7:00-8:30am.
