DESCRIPTION:Join us for a FREE Grow Your Own virtual workshop focusing on growing organic kale\, lettuce\, and chard at high altitude on Tuesday\, May 18th at 5pm PT\, taught by Alison Toy from the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Institute & Katie Townsend Merino\, Slow Food Lake Tahoe's Food Bank Garden Director.  As many of us know\, high elevation gardening is tricky!  Enjoy instruction from an expert who will cover planting\, harvesting\, river/lake friendly gardening techniques\, biology discussions\, and information on the history of this group of food crops.\n\nYou MUST pre-register for the free virtual workshop by reserving a ticket here: https://www.slowfoodlaketahoe.org/events-1/grow-your-own-kale-lettuce-chard\n\n If you are unable to attend the live workshop you can still register to purchase starter plants.
