DESCRIPTION:Join the Truckee Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday\, May 10\, 2023\, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. for our Lunch & Learn event featuring an update from Melanie Conti\, Sustainability Program Analyst with Keep Truckee Green. Melanie will be presenting on Truckee's single-use foodware reduction ordinance\, and what it means for restaurants and food vendors. Learn about the new policies that go into effect in January 2024\, including a requirement for restaurants to provide reusable foodware for in-house dining\, to charge a $0.25 fee for disposable cups and takeout containers provided\, and to only provide accessory foodware items (straws\, napkins\, etc.) when requested by the customer. Plus\, learn about grant funding and additional assistance available from the Town.\n\nBring your lunch and join us for an informational and interactive event! We will provide drinks and dessert. \n\nTruckee Chamber Lunch & Learn is a new program to provide businesses with both networking and professional development opportunities. It is FREE for Truckee Chamber members and $20 for future Chamber members.
