SUMMARY:Sierra Expeditionary Learning School Celebrates Better World Day!
DESCRIPTION:Join Sierra Expeditionary Learning School (SELS) in celebrating Better World Day on Friday\, May 4 by spreading kindness to various locations through Truckee. The day will kick off with our weekly community/student meeting\, outside of the portables at SELS at 9:20 a.m. We are joining more than 50\,000 EL Education students and teachers for Better World Day\, a time to honor the power of students across the country to shape a more just future through their learning. Some of the things student will participate in:\n\n	Dropping off baked goods to service employees (police station\, fire station\, Tahoe Forest nurses/doctors)\n	Reading to dogs at the Humane Society\n	Singing at the Senior Center and putting together potted plants to leave with the seniors\n\nOne of the biggest goals of Better World Day is to connect students so they can see their collective impact and encourage each other.
