DESCRIPTION:Join the Squaw Valley Institute (SVI) for a special presentation from Dr. Paul Cummins about parenting and educating the 21st Century child.  Cummins is a PhD\, renowned educator\, author\, CEO\, and President of Coalition for Engaged Education (CEE)\, a nonprofit organization that provides innovative educational opportunities through which at-risk and underserved young people can transform their lives. For over forty years\, Dr. Cummins has devoted his career to creating opportunities for all children to have equitable access to a quality education.He has founded and co-founded numerous schools including Crossroads School\, New Roads School\, Camino Nuevo Charter School\, and New Village Charter School\, as well as P.S. Arts\, a nonprofit organization that provides arts classes to children in Title I schools. Also a prolific author\, Cummins has published four books on education\, a biography\, two volumes of his original poetry\, and two children's books.
