SUMMARY:The Power of Peacemaking: Utilizing Mindfulness to Cut the Roots of Hatred with Greg Heffron
DESCRIPTION:Dates and Times: Introductory Talk: Friday Sept. 15th: 7-9pm\;\n\nFull-day Workshop: Saturday\, Sept. 16th: 10am-6pm\n\nLocation: For Goodness Sake\n\nCost: $120 for both days or $10 for just Friday\; click here to register.\n\nConflict can be positive and beneficial. No one wants a world where everyone agrees all the time. But conflict often arises unnecessarily and artificially\, causing harm and providing no benefit. This is due to using aggression as a shield against a complex world.\n\n\n\nThrough talks\, meditations and group exercises\, this workshop will explore the four ways that aggressive speech escalates into conflict. By learning to interrupt these toxic patterns of aggression at each step\, we can bring greater openness to our relationships and communities\, transforming a world of artificial conflict into a world that is connected.
