The 6th annual Hike for Hope will be held on Sunday, June 22nd at Donner Memorial State Park in Truckee. Create or join a hiking team today!
The Hike for Hope began in 2020 as a journey of remembrance that unites our community - a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives, our loved ones, and our community. Please join us for this gathering of support and suicide prevention, all while enjoying a wonderful and accessible 3.2 mile hike in the beauty of Donner Memorial State Park!
Please consider partnering with our team and sponsoring our 6th Annual Hike for Hope event on Sunday, June 22 2025 at Donner Memorial State Park. Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year to support local prevention efforts.
Why support Hike for Hope?
Ski towns have higher rates of suicide than the national average. With your support, our community can work together to prevent future suicides through outreach, education, and collaboration.
Suicide is a leading cause of death and it is preventable. All donations raised will go directly back into the community. 95% of donations will support local school Hope Squad projects and local non-profit outreach efforts with The Speedy Foundation. 5% of donations will go towards
