Board Governance Workshop Series: Lead Stronger, More Productive Nonprofit Boards

Join Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF) for their four-part Board Governance Workshop Series. Behind every successful nonprofit sits a strong and productive board of directors.  The role of board member is one of the most influential volunteer positions in the nonprofit community, and an opportunity to serve a mission to which one is truly dedicated. Blending the best in board governance practices and featuring expert panels, TTCF developed a curriculum of four workshops that are delivered in three parts: Theory, Practice, and Interactive Application.

The workshops are organized under four topics:

  • October 7, 8am-12pm: Board Responsibility & Board Culture- Learn how to build a powerful and engaged board of directors

  • October 14, 8am-12pm: Financial Stewardship & Legal Compliance- Ensure nonprofit dollars advance the mission; oversight and fiduciary responsibilities

  • October 21, 8am-12pm: Strategic Planning & Evaluation- Make sure everyone is rowing in the same direction; track impact and outcomes

  • October 28, 8am-12pm: Fundraising 101- Learn the basics of fundraising and getting over the fear of the "ask"
