The community is cordially invited to join our upcoming Community Connections event on April 22 at KidZone Museum, the region's only children’s museum. While guests mingle and enjoy refreshments, they will experience firsthand the creative planning that goes into every aspect of the museum’s exhibits, programs, and future plans.
Guests will have the exclusive opportunity to explore the currently featured immersive exhibition “The Hundred Acre Wood.” Crafted by local artisans, builders, and volunteers, this experience boasts a captivating mural inspired by Winnie the Pooh literature, skillfully crafted by renowned muralist Suzie Alexander. As guests wander through this enchanting environment, they'll see how it ignites the imagination of children, fostering their development while sparking meaningful conversations about emotions and empathy. This is the last imaginary play exhibit to be displayed at the current museum before the museum moves to a larger facility at Truckee River Regional Park near the end of 2026.
Children are warmly welcome to accompany their parents and join museum teenage play facilitators in art and play while parents enjoy the hidden work behind the creative planning for the museum and the 30,000 visitors it serves annually.
Located at 11711 Donner Pass Rd., Truckee, CA, the non profit 501-c3 KidZone Museum has served children and families in our region for 30 years through creative play and discovery.
