31st Annual Donner Party Hike
Learn the secrets of Donner Summit as you hike with local historians. Saturday has eight hikes of varying degrees of difficulty to choose from. The hikes will be followed by music with Alice Osborn and lunch. The after-lunch presenter is Greg Palmer, our local historian, who will tell stories from his 30-yrs of leading hikes. Sunday is a walking tour where you learn about the grueling mishaps of the Donner Party and the archaeological finds that remain. The day ends at Donner Memorial State Park to view Murphy's Cabin and Pioneer Monument. Tour size for each hike is limited so please sign up now.
