About Us

We are your neighbor. We are your co-worker. We are your friend (except on a powder day). We are local, independent, radio. There’s no one in a suit or corporate headquarters telling us what to do. We are passionate about our local community. We love to play outside. We are your Station!

Our Mission is to entertain and inform the local community. We are independent, so we can play and talk about what you want to hear. Our format is Triple A, which means we play a wide variety of music. You’ll hear everything from Led Zeppelin to the Kings of Leon, The Cure to B.B. King. We don’t have to worry about “the man” breathing down our neck, telling us what to play. We play whatever we want! We also focus on what’s important to the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area, reporting on local news, events, and weather. In the summer, we bring listeners outdoor reports to give them ideas on what to do in the Sierra sun. In the winter, we report daily on snow and ski conditions so folks know where the best place is to hit the slopes. 101.5 FM Truckee TAhoe Radio is also the source for free stuff! During the snowy season, we partner with your favorite Tahoe resorts to give away free lift tickets all winter long. In the summer, we hook listeners up with concert tickets, gift certificates, and so much more.
