Tahoe Rim Trail

Tahoe Rim Trail

About Us

The Tahoe Rim Trail is a beautiful 165 mile single track, multi-use trail winding high above Lake Tahoe. Difficulty varies depending on the leg of the trail you take. There are breathtaking views from different vantage points of Lake Tahoe and because of the elevation, wildflowers continue well into the summer.

Two popular trips closest to Truckee are:

1. Ride or hike to north on the Tahoe Rim Trail to Mt. Rose Wilderness Boundary. Spectacular views of Lake Tahoe. A side trip to the Martis Peak lookout can offer views of Mt. Lassen, which is more than 100 miles away. Distance: Out and back, 14 miles.

2. Hike or ride south on the Tahoe Rim Trail to Watson Lake. The trail is rolling here, and travels through a mature forest. Distance: Out and back 16 miles.
