Maria Lopez Godoy is the founder of Waste Free Tahoe, a Truckee-Tahoe based sustainability consulting company dedicated to helping businesses and events reduce waste, lower operational costs, and create practical zero waste solutions.

An economist and sustainability expert, Maria holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability Management and has spent more than a decade working in waste compliance and sustainability management across California and the United States. Through her work, she has helped hundreds of organizations reduce waste sent to landfills and develop customized sustainability and zero waste programs.

Maria is passionate about helping businesses discover that sustainability initiatives can be both environmentally impactful and financially beneficial. In addition to her consulting work, she is an active member of the Truckee-Tahoe community and regularly supports local environmental and community initiatives.
